It’s officially summer and you’re probably excited to try all the new summer drinks from our favorite coffee shop. I hear you. I was also just as excited a few weeks ago when I first caught word about the new items on the Starbucks menu.
Starbucks continually surprises me with its unique approach to its drinks menu. While not every new menu item hits the mark (hello, Spicy Refreshers), many turn out to become favorites among SBUX fans.
The disappointment when a cherished item is discontinued is palpable—I’ll admit, I mourned the absence of the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha from last year’s holiday lineup like it was the end of an era.
That’s why I eagerly anticipate Starbucks’ seasonal launches and this summer, choosing a standout favorite from their refreshed menu, vegan options and the six enticing new items they have for the hot months.
New Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers® Beverages
Starbucks introduces a first-time delight: raspberry-flavored pearls bursting with flavor. Inspired by East Asian boba pearls (though technically distinct without tapioca), these pearls take center stage in Starbucks’ latest creation—the Summer-Berry Refreshers lineup. You can choose from three options:
- Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers Beverage
- Summer-Berry Lemonade Starbucks Refreshers Beverage
- Summer Skies Drink
White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew
Starbucks also brought back the much-loved White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew for its second season, complemented by a fresh addition to the permanent menu—a new iced coffee blend.
Sweet Treats
To satisfy your sweet cravings, Starbucks’ bakery introduces two seasonal treats – Orange Cream Cake Pop and Pineapple Cloud Cake.
I’m not typically drawn to Refreshers at Starbucks. My go-to summer order leans towards an iced coffee with vanilla syrup and oat milk. However, the new Summer-Berry Refreshers may have just won me over.
Out of the Summer-Berry Refresher, a delightful blend of raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors enhanced by raspberry pearls, and the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher, which adds a zing of lemonade, my preference leans towards the latter. While both are refreshingly fruity, the Lemonade Refresher’s tart punch is what sets it apart for me.
Some have likened these refreshers to the iconic blue raspberry Jolly Rancher—and I concur. The vibrant berry flavors scream summer, with the popping pearls adding a playful burst of flavor.
Starbucks now offers larger boba straws to better savor the raspberry pearls, though capturing them amidst the ice can be a tad challenging. Once you snag a pearl, though, the burst of flavor is well worth the effort.
Rounding out the trio is the Summer Skies Drink, a twist on the Summer-Berry Refresher with coconut milk. While not my personal favorite of the three due to its milder profile, I bet fans of Starbucks’ famed Pink Drink or Paradise Drink will find this iteration appealing.

Starbucks Winter 2024 Menu
This winter, Starbucks has the perfect menu items for coffee lovers. The Pistachio is available hot, iced, or blended as a Frappuccino, giving you a comforting blend of espresso and pistachio flavors. The Pistachio Cream Cold Brew on the other hand combines vanilla syrup with pistachio cream foam and a sprinkle of salted brown butter.
Joining these nut-infused beverages is the Iced Shaken Hazelnut Oatmilk Espresso, now a permanent fixture on the menu. Starbucks’ beverage developer, Billy Altieri, describes it as a harmonious blend of hazelnut’s smooth, nutty profile complemented by the caramel and bittersweet chocolate notes of Starbucks Blonde Espresso, with oatmilk for a more luscious texture.
